The Jimny manifold fits as well. Did you weld it yourself? adapting the manifold is a clever way to do this.

I made the cut of the manifold and fabricate the flanges by myself, welding was made by a proffesional. I choose this way for easy acces to the thermostat in the future. Another manifold was not an option because i don't think that a 16v TBI engine exist on a suzuki with longitudinal placement.
I've cut a "window on the intake manifold on the right side, where the water outlet was blocked, and i fabricate a piece with 2 flanges to mount the thermostat housing. The original port for thermostat is used now for feeding heater.
Sorry for the picture quality.
You can also use intake manifold from Grand Vitara 1.6

As far as I know all the Track/Kick/Vit engines have a drive gear, so you would need to swap the cam as well. The early Baleno has a distributor set up like the Swift, you would have to cross reference the part numbers to see if anything would swap over. This is a common problem when swapping Suzuki FWD engines into RWD cars I have heard that yhere are some differences in camshaft lengths between models as well.

i have a problem with distributor, i bought a 90 degrees angle dizzy cap for mazda 323 but is not suitable for the swift 1.6 dizzy. It's larger than swift body and the screws are exactly diametral opposite. Anyone knows if a 1.6 16v dizzy from vitara will work? My camshaft don't have a drive gear for the dizzy.
Thank you for your response. It's seems to be counterproductive, a lot of labor involved from you and the car will be stucked for a period of time. I can't wait to finish the swap to see the differences.
The processor can't be reflashed but it would be possible to use a daughterboard to allow an external EPROM to be used. I have some boards being made for another ECU, it could be possible to use one of those, I would need to take some measurements.

Thanks for the picture, thats a fairly typical Denso design from that era, a bit like a cross between a 1.3 Swift ECU and an early 16V Vitara. The 42-pin processor is a Denso special based on the 63B01.

I just bought a 1992 swift 1.6 16v sohc tbi AWD for a Samurai swap and i can't find wiring diagram for tis car/engine. Maybe somebody here have the diagrams. Ecm 33920-71CJ0
