I received my repaired ECU on tuesday got all installed tonight, switch on the the ignition and ..............................................................vava vroom she started!!
Absoulutly first class, Thank you very much for your help and excellent service!!!
The flashing MIL indicates an immobiliser fault, its likely that the immo was damaged by the welding work. I can test the ECU and immo, but I need both of those and any keys. Please email me at engineering@rhinopower.org
You can pull fault codes from the ECU as detailed here:
Just a big hello from Orkney, n my 1999 1.6 8v vitara.
I also have a small problem.................................With the above Vehicle she is fitted with 33920-70e10 ecu I can't get the diagnostics kit I have (Delphi) to speak with the ECU also the problem being the MIL light is flashing and the engine does not start.
I bought the vehicle not running and the story that came with it is the previous owner had done some ( i say loosely) welding on the car, the car would not restart, I feared that they may have surged the ecu not a problem I thought as I have my old Vitara 1996 that the body fell off, I could just use the ecu etc from that..........but its different.
So really what I'm asking, before I swap things over likes of wiring looms etc, is there anyway of testing the Ecu?
Thank you for your time
