Hello, this is about my 20th time in around Rhino power, what can I say: lots of info and knowledge!!! my respects to all the guys working on making the stock stuff better, keep the good awesome work going!!!
My story is as follows: It began back in 05 when I bougt a 91 geo tracker 4wheel drive 2 door soft top completely stock and used and abused it for almost 7 years when I got the itch to modify it: so all the front, rear suspension was removed along with stock axles, tires driveshafts and transfer case; Got a new clutch installed, designed and installed new long arm suspension (3 link front, tri link back) high misalignemt joints on one end of the long arms, rubber bushings on the other, 85 toyota axles with new brakes, bearings and seals: rear axle shaved and spooled, r&p on both is 4.10:1, got new 12" travel shocks f&r, 33x12.5 musd tires, aluminum rims, toyota driveshafts, etc...
The transfer case was cut and just the reduction was kept, made and adapter and mounted a suzuki samurai t case to it, and installd a lower range gears in it giving me 20 useful gear ratios forward :)
Interior: as my tracker is yellow in color the seats where re-upholstered in black fabric and yellow and black vinil to match, all interior plastic is also painted black..
After all it drived well but was lacking power, so intead of changing motor I went up for a challenge and installed a K03 turbo from a VW passat: made a new exhaust manifold to mount the turbo, removed all the stock FI stuff, installd an adapter between intake manifold and motor head putting one 25.5 lb/hr injector on each cylinder and controlling everything with a mega squirt...
Suffice to say: this has taken me over a year, quite some $$ but Im finally driving it again and beggining to tune it and its really cool the sound of the exhaust and the fact that it begins to spool around 2000 rpms!!!
So its been a long ride but its really paying back!!!
