First of all you should check that the light isn't being held on by the SES function. There will be a switch under the dashboard, by a speaker or under the steering column, slide the switch across to the opposite position and then check again for codes.

I have a 1991 GEO Tracker LSI 4 x 4 Automatic transmission. It wouldn't start one day but would start if I poured fuel down the TBI. I don't think it the injector is spraying fuel. I tried to pull codes by jumping the thing by the battery and the check engine stays illuminated, no flashing codes. Any recommendations? Anyone in Southern California that could be of assistance? Thanks in advance.
