Hi mate cheers for the great help sent ecu away to another company who straight away found a fault with a capacitor that melted and damaged the board. Phoned other company and complained got my money back and they paid for the repair. Many thanks again biggrin

The CTS won't prevent injection, it will go into a default mode, the most likely issue is an ECU fault.

Hi me again tried the cam sensor all good on the scope . Freind suggested coolant temp sensor . Would this stop the fuel injecting ? Is there any other suggestions

Cheers for that mate i will try the scope tomorow is there any other way of testing tha cam sensor just to be sure

The cam sensor is in the distributor. The wiring details are in the FSM supplement for immobiliser models here:

is the cam sensor in the distributor on these and have access to Bosch kts with scope any idea what colour the wires I need are ? . Tride cranking to get codes still not getting any . Thanks

Check for codes while cranking the engine for at least 15 seconds to check for cam sensor faults. Do you have access to an automotive scope to check the signal from the ECU?

It's a 1992 vitara 1.6 8v and no codes

Hi got the same problem if any one can help had ecu tested and repaired changed injector. Fuel is getting to the injector .tested fuel pressure is ok pump working obviously and filter is new but injector will not let fuel through . No immobaliser fitted . Wiring from ecu checked many times no breaks really stuck

all was going well till today and it now won't strart it turns over if u put fuel in the inlet it runs ther is fuel too the inlet but the injeter is not letting the fuel thow and comes up with code 83 is ther any thing I can do too get it going agen ?
