It is a bit of a red head, mostly because it doesn't use the Motorola style architecture used by the Densos and most of the Mitsubishis and it is a different coding style. The Masked ROM chips are code protected so they can't be copied to an EPROM, the OTP chips can, usually, be read.

Hi group. My name is Nate. I am in the offroad industry and I specialize in tuning Bosch and Mitsubishi stuff used in Polaris, Can-Am, and Yamaha. I recently bought a $500 Sidekick Sport and figured I would waste some time and money throwing a SPA manifold and GTX2860 on it. LOL. I joined to try and learn a bit about these Suzuki platforms. Unfortunately, it looks like the US Sport models got the red headed stepchild of an ECU... the Hitachi. Regardless, I will poke around here and maybe even annoy some people with questions. Cheers!

Nate
