I look forward :)

BTW, I have honda prelude with P28 (OBD1) and P72 (OBD2 with no OBD2 connector) ecus (both are with H22A8 engine).

I'm wondering if it will be possible to diagnose it with your interface. Honda has it's own specific connector and probably protocol.

Exactly, there is OBD2 like connector, but only three pins are used: gnd, battery and serial.

Hi Dan

Welcome to the forum - I drive a 1998 2.0 Grand Vitara - African market version, built in Japan.

My vehicle has a 16-pin J1962 connector under the dashboard on the driver's side - this is the OBD2 style connector, but, it uses SDL rather than the OBD2 protocols - your's is probably similar - James can supply you with the interface needed to connect a laptop to this connector and we can assist with the mapping to get your ECU recognized by the software.

Unfortunately this model has no obd2. I hope that with a little help from people on this forum it will be possible to diagnose my engine :)

ps:

even Grand Vitara has no obd2 connector in europe :(
