It isn't that critical, a general purpose switching diode will be adequate. Its just to protect the input if you get a short to battery, the current rating will be defined by the input resistor, I can't see what value that is but 100mA ought to be sufficient.

Those pics aren't much help. Is it a 3-pin device? if so then its probably a series connected dual diode used to clamp the input signal to the power rails. there are a number of similar diodes on that PCB with similar numbers - do they have the same part numbers?

I don't have one of those ECUs to take a look at, you will need to trace through the circuitry to work out what its function is, can you post a picture of the area?
