It isn't that critical, a general purpose switching diode will be adequate. Its just to protect the input if you get a short to battery, the current rating will be defined by the input resistor, I can't see what value that is but 100mA ought to be sufficient.

That is what I would expect, that package seems to be unobtainable, I would replace it with something like a BAV99 mounted on an adapter board.

before i made any forum posts i had twisted a few pairs of diodes together and gotten simmilar readings. p /np/n

.630 from a to b

.726 from b to c

1.330 from a to c

open circuit in any other direction/orientation

D21 pin marked M11 81

D23, and D24 M32 89

D20 M21 85.

Yes, three pin. semi cylindrical with one flat side

the markings are gone on the damaged unit

it reads like two diodes wired in series with my dmm

Those pics aren't much help. Is it a 3-pin device? if so then its probably a series connected dual diode used to clamp the input signal to the power rails. there are a number of similar diodes on that PCB with similar numbers - do they have the same part numbers?

D22 is directly beneath the scorch mark, hard to see the number due to the reflection

I don't have one of those ECUs to take a look at, you will need to trace through the circuitry to work out what its function is, can you post a picture of the area?

Im an Auto tech who specializes in exhaust and offroad fabrication. but general repairs pays the bills.

Im repairing my first pcb (other than changing out LEDs and gauge servos from instrument clusters)

I have already dealt with C37, C4 (the worst culprit), R40, C5, C2, and D6.

I cannot identify D22 because there are no markings left after the acid damage.

please help. Im so close to having my baby back.
