I know I'm very late to the party, but had a similar connection issue. When downloading RV 1.4, Windows tried to protect me and leave all the files blocked. The results was just Rx Errors. For me, the solution was to right click on the zip file, select 'Unblock', then extract. Otherwise you'll have to unblock each file individually. After doing this, I was able to successfully connect and see the engine data.

It's a brand new battery reading 12V. I think you're right about an issue with a bad connection. Fortunately, my mechanic was able to do some work on the engine and the CEL went away but I will inspect ground points and wiring. Thanks for all your patience and assistance.

That could be a bad connection somewhere, do you get the same reading if you put the meter directly across the battery?

Had to get my hands on a multimeter. Looks like I'm getting only 8V across the 2 bottom pins. Is this insufficient? Any ideas on what may cause this? Bad fuse/ground?

That is correct, have you got 12V across the bottom two pins?

Pin 7 is not populated.

Looks like only pin 5, 18 and maybe 12 are populated. Thanks!

Can you confirm that the diagnostic connector does not have pin 7 populated?

Thanks for the quick response.

Switched to 15625 and restarted. No change at all.

If it helps, the sticker on the ECU says:

1 -4V MT

33920-81CA 1

112000-3781

12V

Hello Ian
Please try changing the setting to 15625 and then restart the application.

Hi everyone,

I have a JDM 1997 JB32 Jimny Sierra with a G13BB engine and cannot connect to the tool. I have followed the instructions to install the required drivers and steps to connect the device to the computer. Baud rate is set to 7812.

I am receiving RX error messages in the Bad Data count section. Can someone advise how to fix?
